To be eligible for the PfMP certification, you must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements. All portfolio management experience must have been accrued over the last 15 consecutive years.
PfMP Eligibility Requirements
- A secondary diploma (high school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent).
- Minimum of 8 years (96 months) of professional business experience.
- Minimum of 7 years (10,500 hours) of unique non-overlapping professional portfolio management experience.
OR
- Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree, global equivalent or higher degree).
- Minimum of 8 years (96 months) of professional business experience.
- Minimum of 4 years (6,000 hours) of unique non-overlapping professional portfolio management experience.
